Volume units in practice

Fuel, oil and milk are sold by the liter in Pakistan, but imported pumps, compressors and fuel tanks are often rated in US gallons. Water tanks and concrete are measured in cubic feet or cubic meters.

US and imperial gallons are different sizes. A US gallon is 3.785 liters, while an imperial (UK) gallon is 4.546 liters, so always check which one a spec sheet uses.
