About CNC Door Designs in Pakistan
CNC doors split into two quite different trades. Wooden and MDF doors are carved on a CNC router, which cuts the pattern into the surface or right through it for a jali panel. Metal doors are cut from sheet on a plasma or fiber laser, the same as gates.
For interior doors, routed MDF with a laminate or paint finish is the common choice and the cheapest route to a modern look. Solid wood costs considerably more and is worth it mainly where the door is a feature.
For safety doors and main entrances, cut steel is the norm, often backed with a solid sheet so the pattern reads as relief rather than an opening.
Common questions
What is the difference between a CNC router door and a laser-cut door?
A router carves wood or MDF, which suits grooved patterns and jali panels. A laser or plasma cuts metal sheet. They are different machines and usually different workshops, so ask for the one that matches your material.
Is MDF or solid wood better for a CNC door?
MDF carves very cleanly and is far cheaper, which is why most interior CNC doors use it. It does not tolerate damp, so avoid it for bathrooms and exterior doors. Solid wood costs more and can move over time, but lasts.
Can a CNC door design be copied from a photo?
Usually yes. A workshop can trace a photo into a cutting file. Expect a small design charge, and expect fine detail to be simplified if the material cannot hold it.
